He spied the Red Baron, [C]fiercely they fought
With [D]ice on his wings Snoopy k[G]new he was caught.

[C]Ring out [D]from the [G]land
[C]Asking [D]peace of a[G]ll the [Em]world
[C]And good [D]will to [G]man

[G]The Baron had Snoopy [D]dead in his sights
He reached for the trigger to [G]pull it up tight
Why he didn't shoot, well,[C] we'll never know
[D]Or was it the bells from the [G]village below.

[G]The Baron made Snoopy [D]fly to the Rhine
And forced him to land behind the [G]enemy lines
Snoopy was certain that [C]this was the end
When the [D]Baron cried out, "Merry [G]Christmas, my friend"

[G]The Baron then offered a [D]holiday toast
And Snoopy, our hero, [G]saluted his host
And then with a roar they were [C]both on their way
Each [D]knowing they'd meet on [G]some other day.
